Cleveland, Ohio 44115
As a photographer, Nannette's work has taken her as far as Africa, where she has documented AIDS orphanages and international artists at the Harare International Festival of the Arts, and closer to home, where she has covered presidential campaigns and national celebrities. Her signature black and white portraits show a sensitivity and uniqueness that is both captivating and exquisite. Nannette's passion for photography is tied to the belief that, if time is taken to listen, everyone has a fascinating story to tell.
Specializing in political campaign coverage, Nannette just completed the Illinois Inaugural for Governor Patrick Quinn. She has a long history covering Ohio politics with both Governor Ted Strickland and Senator Sherrod Brown with two books published from those efforts: The Road to Blue and As Ohio Goes...Stories and Photos from the Front Lines.
She has completed the first part of a photo documentary on the oil spill in the Gulf with an exhibit at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum in NOLA. Documentation of the stories and portraits of those affected by this disaster in the Gulf is continuing.
And, as a bit of a departure from mostly shooting people, Nannette was asked to shoot the food for a wonderful Lebanese cookbook: Addie's Way. Taking advantage of available light turned out to be a perfect solution for this delicious food and has led to more work in this genre.
